Siobhán Ní Bhuachalla, M.P.H. (Principal)

Siobhán Ní Bhuachalla has fourteen years of senior level project management and communications experience in the healthcare industry. She has worked extensively as a senior liaison between industry and not-for-profit groups with an international voluntary health association, and subsequently for more than ten years in the pharmaceutical industry (Sigma-Tau, Monsanto (Searle), Pharmacia, Abbott Laboratories). Her experience covers corporate communications, international clinical trial management, opinion leader/advocate development, medical society liaison management, and the development of social marketing projects between industry and not-for-profit organizations.

Siobhán has extensive experience in negotiating and obtaining timely closure on contractual agreements between corporate industry and academic medical centers, and multi-project service contracts between industry and contract research organizations, domestically and with international clinical investigators. She has contributed to many transnational collaborative projects, including the Decade of the Brain, the Bone and Joint Decade, and the Alzheimer's Disease International forum.

Siobhán is an FDA award winner for "excellence in consumer education" for her booklet on the mid-stages of Parkinson's disease (co-authored with Professor Peggy Hoehn, published in 1992). She has been an invited speaker in international forums on patient education, and has made several official appearances before U.S. government agencies advocating for policy changes for movement disorder research. She is a Visiting Faculty member at DePaul University in Chicago where she teaches a bachelors level course on The Global Challenge of Infectious Diseases.

Siobhán Ní Bhuachalla has an honors degree in Law from the National University of Ireland (Dublin Campus). She earned her Masters degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore.
